Icebergs flow through this area just outside St. John’s harbour every spring. Spectacular to watch the bergs from Signal Hill or from the edge of the Battery built by the British to defend the rich fishing grounds. The Heritage Lighthouse was originally built in c.1813.
Inspiration comes easy watching these bergs move southwards past our beautiful city. A great spot to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean.
This is a reproduction of the original watercolour painting and the framing is handcrafted by the artist.
